Discernment as a Reference Point

Discernment allows you to receive permission to let go of something that is truly out of your control.

Discernment in this case is the ability to tap into your "self-knowing" or "the universe" or "spirit", whichever label works best for you, and receive answers, openly. It is very useful for empaths and souls that take on too much, heck even for someone that just cannot seem to shake a strange feeling.

The first step to discernment is to get yourself grounded in your feet. Wiggle your toes!

Secondly, tap into the weird feeling that has you needing to use discernment. Focus on it.

Using your pendulum of choice (necklace, pendulum, body, instinctual cue, fingerflick, whichever). After you ground yourself, ask the pendulum "show me yes" and "show me know". Take notice on the movements for each.

Next, ask:

"Am I grounded?"
"Do I have permission to proceed?"

If it is about a feeling:
"Is this feeling mine?"

If not, then, "does it matter if I know whose it is?"
If you get a NO, then simply let it go and move on. No use arguing with the universe, this a case of "pick your battles wisely".
If you get a YES, then continue on...

"Is it a person?" (if NO, ask if its environmental)
"Is it a woman?" ("is it a man?")
"Is the person alive?" ("is the person deceased?")
"Do I know them personally?"
"Is it important that I do something for them" (If NO, then send compassion and sign off)
If YES, "It it something physical, like a hug?" ("is it something verbal to say?") etc.

Do you notice a pattern at this point? Every question is YES/NO.
Keep grounded and wiggle your toes between each question.
Keep your chest open towards the sky and pendulum, this openness is important as you may receive answers you intellectually dislike. Your soul must be prepared for this possibility and embrace it as it comes, as it is.

Hope this helps!
